Holding Space
Counselling
Supporting kids with big feelings, and the adults who love them.
Hi, I’m Tamika!
Kids have big feelings and the adults supporting them often carry a lot too.
Life can feel messy, overwhelming, and hard to make sense of, especially when emotions show up loudly or don’t have words yet. You don’t have to navigate that alone. This is a space that is safe, honest, and held, for children, young people, and the adults who care for them.
I’m not here to “fix” anyone (because no one is broken). I’m here to walk alongside kids as they learn to understand their emotions, build coping tools, and feel more confident in who they are and to support parents and caregivers along the way.
My approach is grounded, holistic, and tailored to each child and family. I work gently and collaboratively, meeting kids where they’re at, and creating a space where they feel seen, heard, and supported. I also work within schools, bringing counselling into familiar, accessible environments.
Whether your child is navigating anxiety, big emotions, friendship challenges, family changes, greif & loss, or simply needs a safe place to land, I’m here.
Let’s slow things down.
Let’s make sense of the feelings.
And let’s support your child to grow, heal, and thrive - together.
Sessions & Support
If you’re wondering whether counselling might help, you’re welcome to book a complimentary Connection Call. No pressure. Just a chance to connect, ask questions, and see if this feels right for your child or family.
I work with children and young people, alongside the adults who care for them, offering counselling that feels safe, supportive, and real.
Sessions are offered:
In person, in a calm and welcoming space
Within schools and homes so support happens where children already feel familiar and supported
In community settings, when that’s the best fit for the child and family
I welcome NDIS plan-managed and self-managed participants and believe support should be accessible, not another thing to juggle. That’s why I’m happy to travel to schools and community spaces, to meet families where they are.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You just have to start somewhere.
