Frequently Asked Questions.
What Is Counselling?
Let’s be real, life can feel overwhelming, uncertain, and heavy. Counselling is your dedicated space to pause, breathe, and begin. It’s where we explore what’s going on beneath the surface, set goals that matter to you, and gently unpack the things that have felt too big to carry alone.
This is your time to prioritise yourself.
Counselling is a collaborative process, an honest, respectful relationship where we sit side by side, and work through the things that have been weighing you down. Whether you’re seeking short-term support or long-term growth, there’s space here for you.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’ve got you.
What to Expect
Here’s what it looks like to begin:
Connection Call: A complimentary 15-minute phone call to chat, explore your needs, and check we’re the right fit.
First Session: We’ll walk through your story, what’s brought you here, what’s showing up, and what you’d like to shift.
Ongoing Sessions: We’ll set meaningful goals, discover the approach that feels right for you, and gently unpack patterns, stressors, and emotional blocks. If it aligns, I may offer reflections or small practices to explore between sessions.
No pressure. No fixing. Just real connection and intentional growth.
Sessions
Your time. Your space. Your pace.
Each session runs for 50 minutes and is priced at $125. You’re welcome to join me in person at the calming, light-filled Collab, or keep things simple with online sessions, perfect for showing up exactly as you are, from wherever you are.
Craving something a little different? Walk & Talk sessions offer a refreshing, grounded way to connect, moving your body while we move through what’s on your mind.
We’ll chat about how often you'd like to come during your first session. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer here, some people come weekly, others fortnightly or as needed. It’s about what works for you, not fitting into a rigid plan.
I welcome both plan-managed and self-managed NDIS clients, and I’m passionate about accessibility. That means I can travel to you, and for families facing barriers with time or transport, I offer sessions at schools too.
How Does Online Counselling Work?
No commute. No rush. Just you, your device, and your safe space.
Online counselling brings the same depth and presence as in-person sessions, with the flexibility to connect from wherever you are. Once you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a secure link to join your session. All you need is a stable internet connection and a device with a camera/mic.
It’s therapy, on your terms.
What is a Walk & Talk Session?
Sometimes the most powerful conversations happen outside four walls.
Walk & Talk sessions blend therapy with movement and nature, offering a space where thoughts flow more freely, anxiety softens, and your nervous system can settle.
We walk side-by-side in a local, peaceful setting, creating a different kind of rhythm, both physically and emotionally. Want to try it? Just reach out to confirm availability in your area and we’ll make a plan.
Who I Work With
I work with adults and kids navigating the messy, in-between spaces of life. The uncertain seasons. The stuck moments. The quiet ache of sadness, anxiety, or overwhelm that feels hard to name.
For adults, that might look like low self-worth, grief, big transitions, relationship tension, or just feeling like something’s off. For kids, it can show up in emotional outbursts, school struggles, changes at home, or simply not knowing how to express what they’re feeling.
Whether you’re grown and carrying too much, or little and still learning how to feel safe in your own skin, I hold space for you to land, be seen, and grow from wherever you are.
My Approach
My style? Real, relational, and responsive. I won’t nod blankly or take endless notes, I’ll be there with you. Present. Engaged. Curious.
I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches like person-centred therapy, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), play-based therapy for children, somatic awareness, and mindfulness-based practices, all tailored to your needs and your pace. This isn’t about fixing you, it’s about helping you come home to yourself.
A Bit About Me
I believe in deep connection. In showing up as you are. In being fully human.
Counselling isn’t just something I do, it’s who I am. I created Holding Space Counselling because I know how powerful it can be to feel truly heard. Not judged. Not rushed. Just met, exactly where you are.
I bring warmth, honesty, and a big open heart to every session. If you're craving a space that’s real and human, you’ll feel at home here.
